The Firewall Selvedge is a 13.5oz Japanese selvedge denim made with 35% flame-resistant carbon. In a special process acrylic fibers fired and carbonized. The result is a fiber with incredible resistance to flame and heat. Commonly used in fire fighter uniforms, and when super-heated becomes carbon fiber. Since the denim is a blend with cotton, they are not entirely flame resistant, so please do not set your legs on fire. However, they do make one bad ass pair of jeans. Other details include tonal stitching, black buffalo leather patch, classic red line selvedge ID, black military spec non reflective buttons and rivets.
